Terms of service

§ 1 Scope

(1) These General Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts concluded between us and our customers ("you") via the online shop at www.slicerlab.de and www.slicerlab.com ("online shop").

(2) A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession (§ 13 German Civil Code, BGB). A trader is a natural or legal person or a partnership with legal capacity that, when entering into a legal transaction, acts in the exercise of its trade, business or profession (§ 14 BGB).

(3) Deviating terms of customers who are traders do not apply unless we expressly agree to them in text form.

§ 2 Contracting party

Your contracting party is:
Fabian Jacobi (SLICERLAB), Vogelsangstraße 108, 70197 Stuttgart, Germany
Email: mail@slicerlab.com

§ 3 Conclusion of the contract

(1) The presentation of products in the online shop is not a legally binding offer but a non-binding invitation to place an order.

(2) You can add products to the cart and then enter your contact, delivery and payment details in the checkout. Before you submit the order, all details (products, prices, shipping costs, delivery address, payment method) are shown to you again. You can correct input errors at any time using the edit fields in the checkout or your browser's "back" function.

(3) By clicking the order button ("Pay now"), you submit a binding offer to purchase the products in the cart.

(4) After you submit your order, you receive an order confirmation by email. With this order confirmation we accept your offer, and the purchase contract is concluded. If payment is processed by a payment service provider, the provider may authorise or execute the payment when the order is submitted.

(5) If an ordered product is unexpectedly unavailable, we will inform you without delay and refund any payments already made without delay.

§ 4 Contract language, storage of the contract text

(1) The contract language is German. Translations of these terms into other languages (English, French, Spanish) are for your information only. In the event of discrepancies, the German version prevails, unless mandatory consumer protection law of your country of residence provides otherwise.

(2) We store the contract text. You receive the order details with the order confirmation email, which also contains these terms and the withdrawal information with the model withdrawal form. You can view and save the current terms in the online shop at any time. If you have created a customer account, you can view your orders there.

§ 5 Prices, shipping costs, customs duties

(1) All prices are final prices in euros. As a small business within the meaning of § 19 of the German VAT Act (UStG), we do not charge VAT and therefore do not show it.

(2) Shipping costs are charged in addition to the product prices. They depend on the destination country and the total weight of the order. They are listed on the "Shipping" page and shown in the checkout before you submit the order.

(3) If prices in the online shop are shown in a currency other than the euro, they are converted amounts. The total shown in the checkout before you submit the order is decisive.

(4) For deliveries to countries outside the European Union (Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Iceland), customs duties, import VAT and carrier handling fees may apply. They are not included in the price. You bear them, and they are usually paid to the carrier or the customs authority on delivery.

§ 6 Payment

(1) The available payment methods are shown in the online shop and in the checkout. Depending on the destination country, they include in particular credit and debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, PayPal and Klarna, as well as country-specific methods (e.g. Bancontact, BLIK, EPS, iDEAL | Wero, MobilePay).

(2) The purchase price is due immediately when the contract is concluded. If you pay via a payment service provider, its terms also apply. If you choose Klarna invoice or instalments, Klarna acts as payee; Klarna's terms apply and Klarna may carry out an identity and credit check.

§ 7 Delivery

(1) We deliver to all member states of the European Union and to Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Iceland. We currently do not deliver to other countries.

(2) Unless stated otherwise on the product page, the delivery time is 2–7 working days to Germany, 3–11 working days to other EU countries and 5–13 working days to Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Iceland (processing time plus shipping). The period starts on the day after the contract is concluded. If its last day falls on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday in Baden-Württemberg, the period ends on the next working day. Customs clearance may delay deliveries outside the EU.

(3) We ship with Deutsche Post and DHL.

(4) For consumers, the risk of accidental loss and accidental deterioration of the goods passes only when the goods are handed over to you.

§ 8 Retention of title

The goods remain our property until paid in full.

§ 9 Right of withdrawal

Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal. The details are set out in our withdrawal policy.

§ 10 Statutory warranty (liability for defects)

(1) The statutory rights for defects apply. For consumers, the limitation period for claims for defects is two years from delivery of the goods.

(2) If the customer is a trader, the limitation period for claims for defects in new goods is one year from delivery. This reduction does not apply to damage claims under § 11, in cases of fraudulent intent, where a guarantee has been given, or to recourse claims under §§ 445a, 445b and 478 BGB.

(3) Note on product characteristics: for 3D-printed parts, fine layer lines, slight surface differences and minor colour variations between product photo, material batches and delivered goods are part of the manufacturing process and of the agreed characteristics, as long as they do not affect function and use. Your statutory rights in the event of defects remain unaffected.

(4) Please report obvious transport damage to the carrier as soon as possible and inform us. If you do not do so, this has no effect on your statutory rights.

(5) We only give a guarantee in the legal sense (§ 443 BGB) if it is expressly stated for a product together with its terms.

§ 11 Liability

(1) We are liable without limitation
a) for intent and gross negligence,
b) for damage resulting from injury to life, body or health,
c) under the German Product Liability Act,
d) where we have given a guarantee or fraudulently concealed a defect.

(2) In the event of a slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation, our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Essential contractual obligations are obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely.

(3) Otherwise, liability for damage caused by slight negligence is excluded.

(4) These liability rules also apply in favour of our vicarious agents.

§ 12 Dispute resolution

We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

§ 13 Final provisions

(1) The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive you of the protection granted by the mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you have your habitual residence.

(2) If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract is Stuttgart.

(3) Should individual provisions of these terms be invalid, the rest of the contract remains valid. The invalid provision is replaced by the statutory provisions.
